Alexander Ligons, MCM, MBA, and ThD has had a vision for over 20 years to start an organization that will meet the needs of individuals of diverse backgrounds. Dr. Ligons has explored the fields of art, design, technology, business, higher education, church ministry, and theology. He has worked in a number of capacities that included multiple roles in church ministry such as sound technician, graphic designer, video production equipment researcher, digital display developer, church event planner, streaming media support specialist, keyboardist, men's leadership team leader, and pre-marital facilitator.
In the professional setting, Dr. Ligons has been employed as a web site designer/developer, religion instructor, Bible College professor, business professor, and digital design professor at multiple colleges in the South Carolina. He also serves as the interim president on the Board of Directors of an Upstate Bible College.
His initial thoughts were to be a senior or executive pastor some day to utlize all the experiences he has gained. It has become more apparent in his endeavors to provide quality teaching in business, technology, ministry, and theology to build an academy that will serve others in their pursuit to purpose. Dr. Ligons shares a passion to help others pursue their purpose. He has authored a book, Understanding Your Path, produced social media messages to encourage others, developed an online Bible study platform, and created online Bible courses. U eMerge Academy was inevitable to surface (eMerge) out of the life and path that Dr. Ligons has trail-blazed.
The founder's desire is to help others on their path through promoting purpose-driven living that helps the student that seeks fulfillment in learning biblical knowledge, being creative, being an innovator, being a leader, being an entreprenuer, being a digital designer, becoming a prepared college student, helping others (as a professor, teacher, preacher, or minister), and being successfully married with a family.
